Job Description

The Corporate Finance Officer supports the execution of key transactions across AEV and provides financial and transaction advisory to its portfolio companies as needed. The role contributes to sound financial decision-making by supporting transaction analysis, governance policies, and established processes. The position also helps strengthen team capabilities by sharing technical knowledge and supporting the development of team members.

What You'll Do

  • Transaction Execution: Supports the day-to-day execution of AEV's projects, including investments, divestments, mergers, or acquisitions, from idea generation to integration and project performance reviews. The Officer leads the execution of workstreams and tasks and monitors timelines, and ensures accurate and timely delivery of outputs.
  • Financial and Transaction Advisory:Supports SBUs on their projects by providing analytical and execution support. This is done on an as-needed basis and subjected to SBUs requirements and manpower constraints.
  • Capability Building: Strengthens the corporate finance capabilities of more junior team members through coaching. Guides junior team members in observing standard operating procedures, best practices and learnings from past transactions.
  • Governance: Consistently implements Investment Committee and Corporate Finance related policies and processes that apply to AEV and SBUs.
  • People Management: Trains and develops team members to improve technical competence and capability, contributing to the completion of tasks assigned to the Investments and Corporate Finance Group.
  • Relationship Building: Builds connections internally and externally to get things done, such as coordinating to secure inputs for outputs required.

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in asset or investment management, corporate or business development, equity research, investment banking, or transaction advisory.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, including financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence across financial, commercial, and industry considerations.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate financial and business insights into sound recommendations.
