Job Description

Job Description:

  • Conduct background research to support both consumer and corporate communications initiatives, including campaigns, platform features, and broader corporate narratives
  • Assist in drafting and coordinating communications materials such as press releases, factsheets, media pitches, and internal briefs, under guidance
  • Support the team in identifying potential story angles across consumer campaigns, seasonal moments, and corporate initiatives
  • Assist with media engagement preparation by compiling media briefs, background materials, and spokesperson information
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support communications initiatives, including media opportunities, content collaborations, and events
  • Conduct daily media monitoring to track Shopee mentions, industry developments, competitor activity, and emerging topics
  • Compile and organise media coverage for reporting purposes, including basic analysis of volume, sentiment, and key themes
  • Assist in preparing regular reports and summaries to support campaign reviews and ongoing communications tracking

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of the local media industry and social media platforms
  • Deadline-oriented, proactive, and inquisitive, with strong follow-up and reporting skills
  • Able to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a creative approach to brainstorming and problem-solving
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suites experience with Canva and Telum familiarity with formulas and data organization/analysis in Google Sheets is a plus
  • Candidates who can commit to a full-time role for 3-6 months are preferred
