Conduct background research to support both consumer and corporate communications initiatives, including campaigns, platform features, and broader corporate narratives
Assist in drafting and coordinating communications materials such as press releases, factsheets, media pitches, and internal briefs, under guidance
Support the team in identifying potential story angles across consumer campaigns, seasonal moments, and corporate initiatives
Assist with media engagement preparation by compiling media briefs, background materials, and spokesperson information
Coordinate with internal teams to support communications initiatives, including media opportunities, content collaborations, and events
Conduct daily media monitoring to track Shopee mentions, industry developments, competitor activity, and emerging topics
Compile and organise media coverage for reporting purposes, including basic analysis of volume, sentiment, and key themes
Assist in preparing regular reports and summaries to support campaign reviews and ongoing communications tracking
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
Basic knowledge of the local media industry and social media platforms
Deadline-oriented, proactive, and inquisitive, with strong follow-up and reporting skills
Able to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling
Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a creative approach to brainstorming and problem-solving
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Google Suites; experience with Canva and Telum; familiarity with formulas and data organization/analysis in Google Sheets is a plus
Candidates who can commit to a full-time role for 3–6 months are preferred
