The Corporate Communications team at Shopee Philippines is responsible for managing the brand's external reputation and internal messaging across key stakeholders, including media, partners, and employees. We work closely with regional and cross-functional teams and ensure alignment in messaging, proactive storytelling, and effective risk mitigation.
The Corporate Communications Associate role is ideal for someone passionate about writing, media, and digital culture, and excited to build a communications career in the tech and e-commerce industry. You will support narrative planning, media engagement, and day-to-day communications activities that help strengthen Shopee's brand presence in the Philippines.
Job Description
- Assist in drafting communications materials including press releases, talking points, briefing notes, and internal announcements
- Support media outreach efforts, including media list updating, sending materials, and coordinating press requests
- Monitor news and social media trends, and prepare daily/weekly media coverage reports
- Coordinate logistics for media activities and events, including press briefings, interviews, and content shoots
- Conduct research on industry topics, stakeholder insights, and narrative opportunities
- Support cross-functional requests for communications materials, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy
- Maintain organized documentation of comms assets, press clippings, and content trackers
- Work closely with agency partners and internal teams to support campaign executions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Multimedia, or related field
- Strong writing and editing skills; keen eye for clarity and detail
- Eager to learn and build skills in public relations, content development, and media engagement
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interest in digital platforms, social media, and e-commerce industry
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate
