Job Description

Position Summary: As a corporate action specialistyou will monitor, process and report on all corporate‑action events (mandatory, mandatory‑with‑options and voluntary) for global client positions, ensuring accurate scrubbing, notification, election handling, booking and reconciliation across the firm's front‑to‑back systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Capture corporate‑action events in operating systems (e.g., Picasso, Calypso, Power).
  • Distribute timely notifications to internal stakeholders and external agents/custodians.
  • Process income‑generating mandatory events and post‑event cash/position adjustments.
  • Liaise with GM CAIT teams, aggregate client instructions, transmit to agents/custodians and confirm receipt.
  • Record outcomes (cash/position) in general ledgers; manage client claims and remediation where required.
  • Perform scrubbing of eligible positions (settled/pending, SLAB).
  • Reconcile internal books with external statements; investigate and resolve breaks.
  • Produce regular status reports for hierarchy.
  • Participate proactively in daily, weekly and ad‑hoc meetings.
  • Follow‑up event announcements, forecast deadlines and payment dates to guarantee accurate bookings and theoretical‑booking controls.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field. (Master's degree preferred but not mandatory.)
  • 4+ years of corporate‑actions processing experience in a global bank or securities‑services environment.
  • Demonstrated SME or Team‑Lead experience (hands‑on processing, coaching, project ownership).
  • Proficiency with corporate‑actions platforms (e.g., Picasso, Calypso, Power).
  • Strong understanding of securities settlement, cash‑flow and position concepts.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with additional CA tools (e.g., Bloomberg CA, IHS Markit, Wallstreet Suite)
  • Broadens system‑knowledge and facilitates cross‑platform troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, commodities)
  • Enhances ability to handle diverse corporate‑action types.
  • Familiarity with global corporate‑actions regulations, market‑risk controls and internal compliance frameworks.
