Responsible for:

As the Coordinator, Paid Search (SEM), you will play a key role in supporting the execution and optimisation of paid search campaigns designed to refine demand capture, increase lead quality, and drive conversions.

Working closely with the Lead, Paid Search (SEM), you will assist in the day-to-day management of SEM activities across various platforms, contributing directly to the success of the Marketing objectives.

This position requires an organised, detail-oriented, and eager-to-learn individual with a foundational understanding of digital marketing and paid search principles.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the setup, execution, and monitoring of paid search campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, following the defined strategy.
  • Support keyword research, ad copy creation, and monitoring campaign budgets under the guidance of the SEM Lead.
  • Help monitor campaign performance, pull reports, and assist in analysing data to identify trends and optimisation opportunities.
  • Assist in conducting A/B tests for ad copy and landing pages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., content, design) as needed for campaign assets.
  • Help maintain campaign documentation and track budget pacing.
  • Utilise marketing automation and CRM platforms for basic tracking and reporting tasks related to SEM leads.
  • Stay updated on basic SEM best practices and platform features.


Core Competencies:
  • Understanding of paid search (SEM) principles and digital marketing concepts.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Analytical aptitude with the ability to work with data and spreadsheets.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills in paid search advertising.
  • Proficiency with basic office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and able to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Skills and Capabilities:
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tactics, particularly SEM.
  • Experience with data entry and basic reporting.
  • Understanding of basic web analytics concepts (e.g., clicks, impressions, CTR).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Google Ads interfaces is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics is a plus.

Qualifications and Typical Experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a digital marketing or administrative role, with some exposure to paid search or online advertising preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in paid search marketing.
  • Experience with marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads interface, Google Analytics) is advantageous.

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • High level of adaptability and willingness to learn.
