Role Description

The Conventions & Events Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao in Davao City. This role is responsible for the planning, supervising and generating sales on special functions as well as organizing functions and events WITHIN THE LIMITS OF established guidelines, standards and procedures of the Hotel IN ORDER TO achieve operational efficiency, guest satisfaction and maximized revenues by realizing sales targets and objectives through prompt and proper delivery of administrative and logistical requirements for banquet, special functions, events and conventions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any four (4) year degree program, preferably Hospitality, Business, or related fields
  • Strong leadership skills, including team coordination, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and maintain professional relationships.
  • At least three (3) years of proven event planning and event management skills, covering pre-event coordination, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation.
  • Experience in hospitality, conventions, or hotel events operations is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation tools); experience with event management or hotel systems is an advantage.
