Job Description

A leading HVAC manufacturing company is hiring a Controls & Digital Technical Sales Support professional to bridge advanced digital control systems with client business needs. This role is ideal for a highly technical individual who thrives in a customer-facing, sales-driven environment, driving both revenue growth and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Sales & Consultation

• Serve as the primary technical advisor to the sales team, delivering product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions

• Assess client requirements and design tailored solutions across HVAC controls, BAS, industrial automation, and IoT platforms

• Develop technical proposals, scope of work, and system specifications

Business Development

• Identify and pursue new opportunities across commercial, industrial, and energy sectors

• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor on controls technology

• Collaborate with product teams to provide market insights and feedback

Project Support & Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering and project teams for seamless project handover and execution

• Provide post-sales technical support and troubleshooting

• Monitor pipeline, sales activities, and market trends in digital controls

Sales & Commercial

• Prepare cost estimates through blueprint reading and system take-offs

• Apply solution selling by linking digital controls to energy efficiency and lifecycle cost savings

• Conduct live demonstrations of control systems and software platforms

• Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field

• 8–10 years of experience in technical sales, controls, or automation

• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, electrical circuits, and fluid dynamics

• Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC)

• Knowledge of IP networking, OT cybersecurity, and system integration

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• ISA Certifications (CAP, CCST)

• Platform certifications: Niagara 4 (Tridium), Johnson Controls (Metasys), Siemens (Desigo), or Honeywell (WEBs)

• Sustainability credentials such as LEED AP or BREEAM
