As Manager, Controllership, you will support the C9 Deputy CFO in managing C9PI's capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operations expenditure (OPEX) initiatives. This role involves providing financial analysis, cost management, and reporting for CAPEX projects and OPEX.
The Manager ensures compliance with financial and accounting standards and helps implement controls to optimize C9PI's financial resources. Key tasks include enhancing processes for CAPEX and OPEX cost tracking and reporting, and identifying and reporting red flags which include deviations or non-compliance with existing policies and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- CAPEX and OPEX Financial Control and Reporting
- Project Cost Management and Performance Analysis
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting
To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:
- Has in depth understanding of Cost Management & Control in order to effectively manage the cost of a project such as cost accounting, cost classification, cost types, cost development, cost control, change management, etc.
- Able to breakdown and allocate the budget, plan out the cost expenditure, how the budget is going to be spent, and establish a cost baseline.
- Able to measure and monitor the cost performance and assess the cost variances.
- Efficient management and direction of the accounting operations of the company including production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets, and of a balanced organizational structure designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Able to plan, organize, and direct/manage cross-functional teams (both internal teams and external stakeholders) through different deal phases, according to required timelines while ensuring quality deliverables across different workstreams; can mitigate and anticipate associated risks at each phase of a plan/project.
- Able to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated at each phase of a plan/project/engagement/initiative.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree iin Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Applied Math, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a related role.
- 8 years of project experience
- Licenses (CPA, CMA, etc.) not required but an advantage
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Strong understanding of CAPEX management, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
