Position: Controller
Location: Remote Philippines (with daily collaboration across U.S. and global teams)
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Controller with strong US GAAP and multi-entity experience to lead and strengthen our finance function across a growing group of businesses. This person will serve as the central finance leader across three interrelated entities, each with independent P&Ls and significant inter-company activity, including transfer pricing and internal billing flows.
The ideal candidate will not only oversee day-to-day accounting operations, but also design, improve, and operate the financial system needed to support accurate reporting, clean consolidations, stronger forecasting, and confident decision-making. This is a high-impact role for someone who can bring order, visibility, and accountability to a complex finance environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise the finance and accounting function across three related entities with separate P&Ls and inter-company transactions.
- Design, refine, and operate a financial reporting structure that provides leadership with a clear view of entity-level and consolidated performance.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, serving as the primary finance point of contact for leadership.
- Own timely monthly close and reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and related management reporting for each entity.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and underlying transactions.
- Build and improve consolidated reporting across entities while respecting the operating rules and boundaries between businesses.
- Develop reliable cash flow forecasting and forward-looking financial visibility across the group.
- Prepare dashboards and management reports that help leadership understand margins, performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead budgeting and monthly budget-to-actual analysis, identifying variances and explaining performance drivers.
- Oversee intercompany accounting processes, including reconciliation, internal purchase orders, internal invoicing, and transaction flow completeness.
- Support transfer pricing review and analysis, helping ensure pricing logic supports the economics of each entity.
- Proactively identify issues, flag risks early, and recommend improvements before problems escalate.
What We're Looking For
- Strong US GAAP expertise.
- Proven Controller or senior finance leadership experience in a US-based environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing finance across multiple legal entities or a group structure.
- Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidations, and complex entity-to-entity transaction flows.
- Transfer pricing experience is strongly preferred. If not direct ownership, the candidate should at minimum be comfortable analyzing pricing logic across entities and working through the financial implications.
- Strong financial systems and process design mindset; able to build structure, not just maintain it.
- Ability to produce accurate, decision-useful financials and restore confidence in the numbers.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Comfortable working closely with executive leadership and translating complexity into clear reporting and action items.
- Experience leading and developing accounting staff.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means:
- Leadership has a single finance owner who can clearly explain how all three entities are performing.
- Monthly financial reporting is timely, accurate, and trusted.
- Cash flow visibility improves meaningfully, allowing the business to make growth decisions with confidence.
- Intercompany processes are cleaner, more consistent, and easier to monitor.
- Consolidated reporting gives leadership a better operating picture across the group.
- Finance becomes an enabler of growth, acquisitions, and expansion rather than a constraint.
Preferred Profile
- Controller, Group Controller, or VP Finance-level capability.
- Background in companies with multiple related entities, shared services, or internal trading/billing structures.
- Comfortable in a hands-on environment where both strategic process design and operational follow-through are required.
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and a bias toward solving problems correctly.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting acquisition readiness or finance infrastructure for growth.
- Exposure to profit-first style cash management or other goal-driven finance operating models.
- Experience building dashboards or executive reporting packs.
