About The Team

The Control Tower Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and overseeing daily truck and air movement operations from Sorting Centers to SPX Provincial Hubs and Distribution Centers across South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The role ensures efficient route execution, transfer visibility, dispatch compliance, and timely movement of shipments through both land and air transport networks.

The position requires strong knowledge of Philippine geography, provincial delivery routes, and major ports across South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to effectively manage operational flow, identify potential disruptions, and support route optimization initiatives. The Control Tower Coordinator is also expected to have strong analytical skills in interpreting operational reports, monitoring KPIs, identifying trends, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve operational performance and transport efficiency.

Job Description

  • Monitor real-time truck movement and dispatch activities from Sorting Centers to SPX Provincial Hubs and Distribution Centers to ensure all transfers are executed within target schedule and transit service level agreements.
  • Track shipment movement, truck departures, arrival times, route compliance, transit delays, and turnaround performance across South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao operations.
  • Coordinate closely with Sorting Centers, Provincial Hubs, Distribution Centers, linehaul teams, transport vendors, and drivers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted transfer operations.
  • Optimize truck routing and dispatch planning to improve transport utilization, reduce delays, minimize empty returns, and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Utilize knowledge of Philippine geography, provincial delivery routes, and port operations to support accurate transport planning, escalation handling, and contingency execution.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, inter-island transfer movements, port congestion, weather disturbances, and road conditions that may affect operational timelines and cargo movement.
  • Monitor air transfer operations and shipment statuses from Manila to provincial hubs, including cargo acceptance, flight departures, offloading incidents, flight delays, and shipment arrivals.
  • Coordinate with airline partners, airport operations, and provincial teams to ensure timely endorsement, transfer recovery, and visibility of air cargo movements.
  • Analyze operational reports and transport performance metrics such as lead time, dispatch completion, truck utilization, transfer success rate, shipment aging, and operational productivity.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and dashboards to provide management visibility on truck and air movement performance, operational issues, and recovery actions.
  • Identify recurring operational issues, route inefficiencies, transfer bottlenecks, and capacity concerns, then recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Escalate operational incidents including truck breakdowns, missed dispatches, delayed arrivals, offloaded cargo, vessel disruptions, and flight cancellations to the appropriate stakeholders for immediate resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by developing monitoring tools, trackers, and reporting systems that strengthen operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy of dispatch records, monitoring logs, transfer documentation, and shipment status updates across all transport monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute contingency plans and operational recovery efforts during peak volumes, transport disruptions, and emergency situations.
  • Maintain compliance with company operational standards, transport policies, safety procedures, and service expectations across all linehaul and air transfer operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2–4 years experience in logistics operations, transport monitoring, control tower operations, linehaul coordination, or air cargo operations.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine geography, provincial transport routes, and major ports across South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
  • Experience in truck dispatch monitoring, route optimization, linehaul operations, and air movement coordination.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret operational data, KPIs, and transport performance metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and transport monitoring systems.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and shifting operational environment.
  • Amenable to be assign in Calamba or Cabuyao
