Job Description
Prepares new and renewal contracts; prepares addenda when original contracts have been executed; reviews redlines received from clients to assist attorney.
Responsibilities
- Prepares new and renewal contracts.
- Prepares addenda when original contract has been executed.
- If an agreement is categorized as large and special starts the review process; tracks and monitors with internal departments. Maintains a log of pending contracts, as requested.
- Prioritizes work depending on importance, rushes, contract principal requirements, etc.
- Reviews redlines received from clients and highlights areas of concern for attorney.
- Participates in Special Projects and performs other duties as assigned by Director.
- Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Ethics as all times.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years business experience preferably in a legal setting.
- Familiarity with general insurance vocabulary is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Crawford corporate structure, products, services, home office and regional office processes, policies and procedures is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent telephone, writing and proofreading skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Paralegal certificate or degree.
- Must compete continuing education requirements as outlined by Crawford Educational Services.
