Prepares new and renewal contracts; prepares addenda when original contracts have been executed; reviews redlines received from clients to assist attorney.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares new and renewal contracts.
  • Prepares addenda when original contract has been executed.
  • If an agreement is categorized as large and special starts the review process; tracks and monitors with internal departments. Maintains a log of pending contracts, as requested.
  • Prioritizes work depending on importance, rushes, contract principal requirements, etc.
  • Reviews redlines received from clients and highlights areas of concern for attorney.
  • Participates in Special Projects and performs other duties as assigned by Director.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Ethics as all times.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years business experience preferably in a legal setting.
  • Familiarity with general insurance vocabulary is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Crawford corporate structure, products, services, home office and regional office processes, policies and procedures is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent telephone, writing and proofreading skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Paralegal certificate or degree.
  • Must compete continuing education requirements as outlined by Crawford Educational Services.
