Contract Test Engineer / QA Engineer (Senior to Lead level)

Role Overview:

We are seeking skilled and motivated Contract Testers to join a specialized Flying Squad based in Manila. This team will play a critical role in accelerating the adoption of Contract Testing across the company's services by setting up robust frameworks and enabling squads to integrate testing into their workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to adopt existing services and implement contract testing frameworks.
• Design, develop, and execute contract tests for APIs and microservices.
• Ensure test coverage and validation of service contracts between producers and consumers.
• Work closely with squads to handover the testing framework and support integration into their Way of Working (WoW).
• Provide documentation, training, and technical guidance to enable long-term ownership by the squads.
• Identify and resolve issues related to contract mismatches, versioning, and service dependencies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies and tooling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or any related field.
• Must have at least 5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with a focus on API testing or contract testing.
• Strong understanding of contract testing tools (e.g., Pact, Spring Cloud Contract, Postman).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and service-oriented design.
• Proficient in scripting or programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Must be amenable to work on a mid-shift schedule (3am-12am or 4pm to 1am)
• Must be amenable to work in a hybrid setup (2-3x a week RTO in Makati Office)
