Levanta Renewables is a renewable energy developer and independent power producer in Southeast Asia. Levanta is building out a large renewable platform with a target to reach 1GW+ operating capacity over the next couple of years, delivering power to a range of off takers, including government-owned utilities, private distribution companies, and commercial and industrial customers, across Southeast Asia, with the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia being the key target markets.
About the Role
We are hiring a Contract Manager to lead all contracting activities across the project lifecyclefrom development to construction. The role covers the preparation, negotiation, and execution of EPC contracts, O&M agreements, LTSAs, BOP contracts, and major equipment supply agreements. During construction, the Contract Manager will manage all contractual and commercial matters to protect project outcomes, ensure compliance, and support smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Strategy & Procurement (Development Phase)
- Develop project-specific contracting strategies (turnkey EPC or multi-package) covering EPC, BOP, O&M, LTSA, and key supply packages (modules, turbines, inverters, batteries, transformers, etc.).
- Ensure optimal allocation of technical, commercial, schedule, and performance risks across all agreements.
- Structure contracts to meet bankability requirements and align with lenders expectations.
- Coordinate with insurance, tax, technical, legal, finance, and development teams to prepare complete and accurate term sheets and contract templates.
- Define liquidated damages, performance guarantees, and incentives in consultation with the project development team and Head of Business Development.
- Lead end-to-end negotiation of:
- EPC contracts
- BOP contracts
- Major equipment supply agreements
- Long-Term Service Agreements
- O&M contracts
- Drive internal approval processes for commercial positions and award recommendations.
- Finalize and execute contracts in close coordination with legal and project development leadership.
Contract Management (Construction Phase)
- Administer all contracts from execution to Notice to Proceed, commissioning and handover.
- Monitor contractor performance, compliance with contractual obligations, and achievement of guarantees, warranties, and schedule milestones.
- Prepare and manage contractual notices, change orders, variations, extensions of time, and claims.
- Work with the Project Director to validate progress, resolve technical and commercial issues, and maintain required documentation.
- Lead claims evaluation and negotiation to protect the company's commercial interests.
- Maintain complete contract documentation, including correspondence logs and change management records.
Risk, Claims & Dispute Resolution
- Identify contract risks early and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Lead assessment, documentation, and negotiation of delays, compensation events, and claims.
- Coordinate with legal teams on dispute resolution when required.
- Provide clear guidance to project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with development, engineering, procurement, finance, legal, and construction teams to ensure contract alignment with project needs.
- Engage with lenders, advisors, and consultants throughout technical due diligence and financing processes.
Ideal candidate should possess
- 1012+ years of experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and administration, preferably in utility-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of EPC contracting models (including FIDIC), liquidated damages, performance guarantees, and schedule risk management.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating complex multi-package agreements (EPC, BOP, O&M, LTSA, supply contracts).
- Solid experience in contract execution, claims, and variation management during construction.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-country project environments.
Preferred Background
- Experience in solar, wind, hybrid, or battery storage projects.
- Familiarity with international EPC contractors and major OEMs.
- Exposure to FIDIC-based structures and lender-driven contract requirements.
- Experience working in emerging markets.
