Racket Agency is a full service digital marketing agency based in Melbourne, Australia. We work as an embedded marketing partner for medium sized businesses, which means we sit inside our clients businesses rather than sitting outside them.
Our client list is a genuine mix of B2B and B2C. On any given week you might be writing for a mortgage broker, an accounting firm, a buyers advocate, a spa manufacturer and a retail ecommerce brand. Some of those audiences want warm and conversational. Others want measured, credible and corporate. You need to be able to do both well.
We already have a strong Philippines based team who work alongside our Melbourne team every day, so you will not be working in isolation.
The role
We are looking for a full time Content Writer to own written content across our client portfolio. The bulk of your week will be EDM copy, SEO optimised blogs, and content built to be picked up by AI search and large language models.
This is a writing role first. You will report to the General Manager and work day to day with our account managers, SEO lead and workflow manager.
What you will be doing
- Writing EDM copy for client email campaigns, including subject lines, preview text, body copy and calls to action, across Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign and Mailchimp
- Writing SEO optimised blog content to brief, working to target keywords, search intent, structure and internal linking
- Writing and structuring content for GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation), so our clients get cited and surfaced in AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews. This means clear question and answer structures, quotable statements, strong entity and topic coverage, and factual accuracy that holds up when a model reads it
- Writing social content and captions for a portfolio of accounts, taking it through internal and client feedback rounds
- Pulling together EDM and campaign performance reports, and writing a short plain English summary of what the numbers say and what we should do next
- Managing tone and voice across a mixed portfolio, and keeping each client sounding like themselves
- Working to briefs in Streamtime and hitting deadlines without needing to be chased
What we are looking for
- Excellent written English. This is the core of the job. Clean, accurate copy with no typos, and the judgement to know when a piece needs personality and when it needs restraint
- The ability to switch tone convincingly. A LinkedIn article for an accounting firm and an email for a retail brand should not read like the same person wrote them on the same afternoon
- Comfort writing in a corporate, professional and B2B voice, not just a casual consumer one
- Three or more years writing commercially, ideally agency side or across multiple brands at once
- Solid working knowledge of SEO writing: keyword research, search intent, headings, meta descriptions and on page structure
- Genuine interest in how AI search works and how content earns citations in LLM answers. You do not need years of GEO experience, because almost nobody has it, but you should be actively paying attention to it
- Comfortable writing about Australian topics for Australian audiences, including property, finance, tax and trades. Australian spelling and conventions
- Confident reading performance data and explaining it simply
- Reliable, organised and able to manage your own workload across several accounts

- Experience with Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, SE Ranking, Streamtime
- Experience with Pallyy or another social scheduling platform
- Experience presenting or reporting on content performance
