We're looking for a Sports Content Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of content and community initiatives within the sports industry. This role is ideal for experienced candidates who are passionate about sports, online communities, and digital content.
This role will work closely with content & community teams to ensure content and promotions are published on time, the information base stays accurate and updated, and the community remains informed and engaged, especially around sports leagues, matches, and trends.
Job Responsibilities
- Content & Community Execution
- Publish and schedule content across the community and owned channels/platforms.
- Assist in managing community posts, announcements, and engagement posts.
- Monitor community activity and flag relevant discussions, questions, or trends.
- Content Operations & Management
- Maintain and update the content knowledge base / information system (content and campaign calendars, trackers, dashboards, etc.). Ensure all information and content published content is accurate and up-to-date.
- . Support content audits and clean-ups (outdated posts, expired events, etc).
- Sports Monitoring & Research
- Stay up to date with sports news, leagues, tournaments, and major events (local and international).
- Track upcoming matches, seasons, and storylines that may be relevant for content or community use.
- Surface sports trends, fan conversations, and popular topics to the team.
Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with internal teams to execute content calendars and community initiatives.
- Support the launch of new content IPs, campaigns, or community activities.
- Help ensure smooth execution of content-related tasks and timelines.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Strong interest in sports (e.g., basketball, football, esports, volleyball, international leagues, etc.)
- Comfortable using digital platforms, CMS tools, or community platforms.
- Detail-oriented and organized. Able to manage multiple small executional tasks.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with content tools (Docs, Sheets, Canva, CapCut, etc.).
