Job Description

The Content Production Manager leads the operational planning, execution, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of the Educator Programs Department. The role ensures the timely, efficient, and high-quality delivery of educator development programs, digital learning initiatives, instructional materials, and stakeholder support services in accordance with approved content standards and organizational goals.

Working closely with internal teams, consultants, and freelancers, the manager establishes effective workflows, systems, governance mechanisms, review protocols, and performance metrics. The role also oversees content production, quality audits, platform and content readiness, resource and budget planning, project coordination, risk management, operational reporting, and process improvements to support scalable nationwide delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Production and Quality Assurance

  • Lead end-to-end production operations for Class Builder instructional materials, including lesson guides, lesson plans, slides, worksheets, assessment tools, supplementary materials, and other teacher-facing resources.
  • Manage production timelines, trackers, deliverables, dependencies, and coordination across content developers, learning designers, visual designers, video editors, reviewers, and platform teams.
  • Conduct regular content audits, reviews, quality checks, feedback cycles, and direct edits to improve accuracy, consistency, usability, instructional clarity, and platform readiness.
  • Ensure materials are completed according to approved standards, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Document recurring content issues and support timely corrective actions.

2. Content Standards, Governance, and Quality Improvement

  • Establish, document, maintain, and support the implementation of content development standards, quality standards, review protocols, audit checklists, QA guidelines, templates, and practical review guides.
  • Ensure standards are consistently applied across content teams, grade levels, subjects, and material types.
  • Identify content quality gaps, recurring issues, workflow risks, template inconsistencies, and process bottlenecks.

3. Department and Program Operations Management

  • Lead day-to-day operations related to content production and educator program delivery.
  • Oversee the operational implementation of educator programs, teacher training initiatives, learning events, platform rollouts, and related department activities.
  • Develop and implement workflows, SOPs, operating rhythms, readiness checks, documentation practices, and implementation support mechanisms.
  • Monitor operational dependencies, surface bottlenecks, and support issue resolution.
  • Standardize operating practices to improve efficiency, consistency, quality, and execution discipline.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the operational liaison across Program Management, Customer Success, Community & Partnerships, Content & Learning Design, Communications, Technology/Product, Finance, Legal, Procurement, HR, and other relevant teams.
  • Facilitate regular operational planning, production check-ins, quality reviews, and status meetings.
  • Support timely escalation and resolution of issues that may affect content production, platform readiness, or program implementation.
  • Ensure relevant stakeholders have visibility on progress, risks, decisions, and next steps.

5. Resource Planning and Capacity Management

  • Plan, manage, and monitor the department's manpower and operational resource requirements, including regular employees, consultants, freelancers, vendors, and external service providers.
  • Support the recruitment, on-boarding, contract management, performance monitoring, and payment processing of consultants and freelancers.
  • Establish processes for tracking work rendered, validating outputs, monitoring productivity, and ensuring payment-related documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Monitor team capacity and recommend adjustments to support current and future program growth.

6. Process Improvement, Metrics, and Reporting

  • Identify, design, and pilot process improvements across content development, operations, and quality assurance.
  • Lead workflow enhancements, automation opportunities, template refinements, review protocols, trackers, dashboards, and operational controls.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, production metrics, quality indicators, service metrics, and operational reports.

7. Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify operational, production, quality, platform, personnel, and implementation risks that may affect program delivery or content readiness.
  • Develop mitigation plans, escalation protocols, contingency plans, and documentation practices.
  • Maintain audit-ready records, production references, review outputs, contracts, payment documentation, and operational files as needed.

8. Project Management (e.g. Platform Migration and Content Readiness)

  • Monitor the migration, upload, organization, and readiness of instructional materials across all subjects and grade levels on the designated learning platform.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure materials are complete, accessible, properly organized, quality-checked, and ready for teacher use.
  • Support issue resolution related to content availability, platform organization, access, and material quality.

9. Team Leadership, Coaching, and Capability Building

  • Lead, manage, coach, and support regular employees, consultants, freelancers, and other relevant team members involved in content production and operations.
  • Coach team members in applying standards, conducting effective reviews, giving useful feedback, identifying quality risks, and improving execution quality.
  • Support recruitment for content-related and operations-related roles by interviewing candidates, assessing suitability, and providing evaluation notes and hiring recommendations

10. Strategic Operations Support

  • Support department leadership in operational planning, annual planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Recommend organizational, process, and quality improvements based on data, trends, audit findings, and stakeholder needs.
  • Support leadership decision-making through clear reporting, risk visibility, and practical recommendations.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, Publishing, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field. A master's degree is an advantage.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in content production, educational program operations, learning-resource development, publishing, project management, or a related field, including at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end content production workflows for instructional, digital-learning, publishing, or teacher-facing materials.
  • Strong knowledge of quality-assurance processes, content standards, review protocols, document control, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience in manpower planning, workload allocation, performance monitoring, and managing consultants, freelancers, or third-party service providers.
