As a Content Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating engaging and high-quality learning materials that simplify complex technical concepts and align with Manulife University standards. You will collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure these learning strategies support business goals, while also coaching content creators in best practices.
Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop engaging, high-quality technical learning experiences using approved tools(PowerPoint,Articulate360 suite,Synthesia,Edcastsuite, Clipchamp,MS Forms)
Simplify complex technical concepts into accessible, learner-friendly formats.
Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with Manulife University standards.
Coach and support content creatorsoninstructional design, storytelling, and tool usage.
Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to align learning strategies with business goals.
Review andvalidatecontent for technical accuracy and platform compatibility.
Facilitate seamless collaboration between content creators and platform teams.
Manage post-publication activities including feedback, content freshness, and performance metrics.
Continuously improve content frameworks and user experience.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across technical teams.
Required Qualifications:
2-5 years related engineering or software delivery experience withexpectationthat you are a hands-on practitioner.
Previousexperience in technical content creation isrequiredwith apassion for learning, teaching, and helping others grow.
Strong storytelling, instructional design, or technical writing skills.
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical topics clearly and effectivelytoa broadrange of users (with or without a technical background).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience withSynthesia,Confluenceand Articulate is a strong asset.
Experience in developer advocacy, technical education, or enablement roles.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to track and report on content performance metrics.
