Role Overview
Serve as a key operational partner supporting the Global Swap Dealer Compliance Program. The Global Swap Dealer Compliance Program is designed to support the Chief Compliance Officer in fulfilling their regulatory obligations to establish, administer, and oversee a compliance program reasonably designed to ensure the firm's compliance with applicable Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), National Futures Association (NFA), and other regulatory requirements governing its Swap Dealer activities. Consistent with these objectives, the role will support the CCO through compliance monitoring, facilitation of business and compliance governance processes, issue management, maintenance of policies and procedures, regulatory exam assistance, and other recurring obligations. The successful candidate will work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders in the execution of these responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Governance Administration: Support weekly, monthly and quarterly governance meetings by preparing meeting materials, maintaining committee charters, documenting meeting minutes, tracking action items, and facilitating overall governance reporting for the Swap Dealer.
- Issue Management: Track issues from identification through closure, including maintenance of issue logs, remediation partnership, and validation of corrective actions.
- Trade Reconstructions: Perform quarterly trade reconstruction reviews to assess compliance with applicable regulations.
- Periodic Compliance Reviews: Execute recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reviews, including business personnel tracking, complaints monitoring, surveillance reconciliations, recordkeeping inventory maintenance, and quality control reviews.
- Policy and Procedure Maintenance: Maintain and update Swap Dealer policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current business processes and regulatory developments.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery: Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning including test coordination, results reporting and remediation tracking.
- Regulatory Examinations: Assist with regulatory examinations, internal reviews, and audit activities by coordinating requests, compiling documentation, tracking deliverables, and facilitating stakeholder responses.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective working relationships across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations and other stakeholders to support compliance program objectives.
- Initiatives and Program Enhancement: Support strategic initiatives and other priorities necessary for the effective execution and continuous improvement of the Global Swap Dealer Compliance Program.
- Program Execution and Delivery: Maintain accountability for assigned responsibilities and deliverables, ensuring work products are completed accurately and within established deadlines to support the Compliance Program's objectives.
Qualifications
- 5-6 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Regulatory Risk, Audit, Financial Services, Governance, or related field.
- Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance frameworks; experience supporting regulatory compliance programs, monitoring, testing, governance, or issue management activities preferred.
- Strong organization, analytical judgment, communication, and project-management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple deadlines.
