Job Title: Construction QA/QC Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Position Purpose
The Construction QA/QC SME is responsible for defining and standardizing the Construction Quality Assurance and Quality Control framework across multiple projects. The role ensures onsite implementation, capability building, and adoption of best-in-class quality practices to enhance project delivery.
Essential Functions / Requirements
- Ability to travel for project site work or vendor workshops as required.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends during peak workloads.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments with adaptable communication styles.
- Strict adherence to site-specific HSE protocols, including PPE usage.
- Ability to work under pressure with strong team spirit.
Principal Accountabilities
- Define and standardize QA/QC systems across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, ISO 9001, GMP, and food-industry requirements.
- Engage as a hands-on SME to support effective implementation of QA/QC systems at site level while ensuring compliance.
- Develop Construction QA/QC standards, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and QA/QC plans, and hand over to site QC inspectors for execution.
- Arrange and deliver structured training programs for QA/QC site inspectors to build technical capability and promote a culture of quality.
- Track quality KPIssuch as NCR trends, inspection compliance, and audit findingsidentify systemic risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Introduce digital solutions for site KPI reporting through user-friendly applications and dashboards.
- Mentor and support QA/QC site inspectors through regular engagement, technical assistance, and field visits.
Education, Experience & SkillsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- ASME Level II certification (Minimum; Preferred).
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I (Preferred).
Experience
- 1215 years of experience in construction QA/QC.
- Minimum 5 years in industrial or foodgrade project environments.
- Experience working with thirdparty inspection agencies.
Technical Skills
- Experience with QA/QC dashboards, inspection tracking systems, and mobile inspection apps.
- Familiarity with datadriven quality reporting, KPI visualization, and digital NCR systems.
- Strong technical documentation and audit reporting skills.
