Job Summary

  • The Construction Project Manager is a vital contributor to construction projects, responsible for ensuring their safe, efficient, and high-quality execution. This role involves overseeing contractors, coordinating project activities, managing technical aspects, and representing the owner's interests. The Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in project success through comprehensive project planning, efficient coordination, vigilant cost management, diligent financial oversight, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight, Safety, Quality, and Technical Compliance
  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.
  • Oversee construction activities, emphasizing safety, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Project Planning, Coordination, and Cost Control
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with project plans.
  • Implement control measures to manage project scope, time, and costs.
  • Cost Management and Financial Oversight (Company)
  • Monitor actual team costs against budget and forecast.
  • Oversee billing and collections for CM services.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Required possession of relevant professional certifications or licenses. (i.e., Registered Civil Engineer, Registered Architect, etc.)
  • Has a minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, codes, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, tools, and technologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation, risk management, and problem-solving.
  • Continuous professional development to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
