Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Construction Manager role based in Benin City. The Construction Manager will oversee day-to-day construction activities, including planning work schedules, coordinating trades and subcontractors, and monitoring progress against project timelines. The role involves managing site operations, ensuring compliance with construction safety standards, supervising site teams, and resolving on-site issues promptly. The Construction Manager will track project costs, support budgeting and project control processes, review work quality, and report regularly on project status to leadership. The position requires close collaboration with architects, engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered according to design, budget, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
  • Strong Supervisory Skills with experience leading and coordinating on-site construction teams.
  • Proficiency in Budgeting and Project Control to manage costs, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Solid knowledge of Construction and Construction Safety practices, regulations, and standards.
  • Experience managing residential or commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant technical or engineering degree or diploma; professional certifications in construction management or safety are an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under time constraints.
