Summary
As a Construction Manager/COR, you will perform construction management, technical oversight and contract administration support functions in support of moderate to complex Federal and leasing projects.
The Office of Facilities Management is responsible for providing facilities related solutions and services to Federal tenants located in over 8500 owned and leased workspaces across the nation.
Duties
- Performs planning, coordination, oversight, administration and management of design, construction and leasing project activities. Responsibilities include reviewing design submissions, monitoring construction progress, coordinating site activities, and supporting acquisition and leasing functions as applicable.
- Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), acting as the Government's primary technical liaison with contractors and lessors, monitoring performance, inspecting work, and documenting compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinates activities among project stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, leasing specialists, budget analysts, building managers and customer agencies. Prepares briefings to leadership on costs, impact, feasibility, alternatives, issues, recommendations and status of project development and implementation.
- Prepares independent Government estimates and technical analyses of A/E, CM, construction, and leasing-related proposals to support acquisition and negotiation strategies. Provides technical support and participates in negotiations with contractors and lessors.
- Maintains working relationships with Federal client agencies and external stakeholders to support project coordination.
