Job Description
Job Title: Construction Financial Administrator
Location: Remote
Schedule: US Business Hours | Night Shift | Monday - Friday | 8AM - 5PM Mountain Time
Qualifications:
Non-Negotiables (MUST HAVE)
- Construction billing experience, particularly progress payments, payment applications, job-level reconciliation, and accounts receivable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing multiple jobs, construction contracts, change orders, and payment discrepancies.
- Excellent client communication, collections experience, independent problem-solving, and consistent payment follow-up.
Negotiables (PREFERRED)
- Experience using JobTread and QuickBooks.
- Familiarity with commercial construction billing.
- Experience handling contingencies, change orders, and complex payment structures.
- Experience working directly with construction companies and their accounting departments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit construction invoices and progress payment applications.
- Reconcile client payment ledgers against individual jobs and outstanding balances.
- Review construction contracts, project scopes, contingencies, and change orders.
- Identify missing jobs, incorrect payments, and other billing discrepancies.
- Track deposits, progress payments, outstanding invoices, and collections.
- Follow up with client accounting departments through phone calls and emails.
- Investigate payment discrepancies and coordinate resolutions directly with clients.
- Flag projects with outstanding payments that may require management attention.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients throughout the billing and collections process.
- Use JobTread and coordinate with the company's existing bookkeeping processes.
