Job Description

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Construction Estimator & Project Coordinator to play a critical role in the successful planning and execution of construction projects. Working closely with the business, the successful candidate will oversee project timelines, prepare estimates and quotations, coordinate procurement activities, and ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently. This role requires someone with practical construction experience who understands project lifecycles, can interpret construction documentation, and possesses strong commercial awareness when managing project budgets and resources.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Australian Eastern Time, 40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from initiation through completion, maintaining project schedules to achieve key milestones.
  • Prepare accurate construction estimates, quotations, and project costings while monitoring budgets to meet financial targets.
  • Review specifications, scopes of work, and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to support project execution.
  • Source, evaluate, and coordinate the procurement of building materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage project documentation, track progress, issue regular status reports, and handle variations and change requests.
  • Identify project risks, implement effective mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with quality standards and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate project handovers, close-out documentation, and continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience managing project budgets, timelines, and using Premier Software.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Australian Construction Project Management across residential and/or commercial projects.
  • Proven experience preparing construction estimates, costings, and quotations.
  • Solid understanding of building materials, procurement, supplier management, and project lifecycles.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and construction documentation management.
  • Professional written and verbal English communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities.
