Overview
Join a dynamic team as a specialized Estimator focused on high-impact commercial concrete and masonry projects ranging up to $5M. You will use your technical expertise in Mint and PlanSwift to deliver precise quantity takeoffs and play a critical role in the pre-construction phase for US-based leadership.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed material quantity takeoffs for commercial concrete and masonry projects.
- Utilize PlanSwift software to analyze construction blueprints and architectural drawings.
- Prepare and maintain organized Excel spreadsheets for material tracking.
- Perform quality checks by comparing new takeoffs with historical project data.
- Identify and quantify specific project components including concrete cubic yardage.
- Communicate findings clearly to the lead estimator to facilitate final pricing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimation, specifically in concrete or masonry.
- High proficiency with Mint or similar digital takeoff software, such as Planswift.
- Advanced Excel skills for managing complex material quantities.
- Strong ability to interpret technical commercial blueprints.
- Excellent English fluency for technical reporting and collaboration.
- Strict attention to detail to ensure cost accuracy in real-world applications.
Scope
- Focus exclusively on quantity takeoffs (pricing and labor to be handled by the client).
- Coverage for commercial projects ranging from $50,000 to $5,000,000.
- Initial training period using existing takeoffs to verify accuracy.
- Starting at 20 hours per week with the intention to scale to full-time.
- Direct reporting to US-based leadership for project milestones.
