We are hiring a Construction Accounting Manager for a fast-growing, construction management firm. This is a leadership role responsible for building and managing a high-performing accounting function that ensures financial accuracy, operational insight, and scalable processes across all construction operations.
What You'll Own
- Team Leadership — Lead and develop the accounting team, driving accountability and meeting 100% of critical month-end deadlines
- Project Accounting — Oversee job costing, billing, and financial reporting across all active projects with 95%+ accuracy
- AP & AR Management — Ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections within 7 business days
- Month-End & Year-End Close — Own the full close cycle with 98% reconciliation accuracy and on-time delivery
- Tax Compliance — Oversee all tax filings and coordination with external advisors
- Financial Reporting & Analysis — Deliver accurate, timely reports that support strategic decisions
- Budgeting & Forecasting — Lead monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Construction industry accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting regulations
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems (Acumatica preferred) and advanced Excel
- Experience with construction/project management software (Procore preferred)
