About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Construction Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing construction and real estate business. The ideal candidate has experience with construction accounting, is proficient in
Sage Accounting, and is comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger transactions.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Track project costs, job costing, and construction-related expenses.
- Prepare financial reports and support budgeting activities.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate and compliant with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and records.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in construction accounting or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience using Sage Accounting (required).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fully remote environment.
