Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
- At least 7 years of dedicated conflicts management experience within complex or highly regulated environments
- Minimum 2-3 years of leadership, team supervision, coaching, or mentoring experience
- Strong command of conflicts rules, risk assessment practices, professional obligations, regulatory requirements, and governance standards
- Proven ability to evaluate complex conflicts, exercise sound judgment, and provide practical, risk-based recommendations
- Hands-on experience identifying, investigating, resolving, and escalating conflicts of interest
- Demonstrated ability to coach team members, strengthen capability, maintain quality standards, and support consistent performance
- Strong analytical, research, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience supporting international or multi-jurisdictional conflicts operations is highly preferred
- Dedicated conflicts experience from other highly regulated environments may be considered, provided the background extends beyond general AML, KYC, compliance, or risk activities
- Experience with Intapp or comparable conflicts and onboarding platforms is highly desirable
- Shared services experience is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Highly organized and detail-focused, with the discretion and judgment to manage sensitive, high-risk matters and competing deadlines
Responsibilities
- Conduct conflict checks for new clients and matters to identify potential legal and commercial conflicts of interest
- Review and analyze conflict reports, providing practical, risk-based recommendations
- Serve as the first point of escalation for complex conflicts matters, ensuring appropriate resolution in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance and support to partners, fee earners, and business stakeholders on conflicts-related matters, including drafting conflict and confidentiality waivers
- Lead, mentor, and coach junior team members while maintaining conflicts procedures, policies, training materials, and documentation
- Prepare reports and recommendations for the Conflicts Committee to support informed decision-making
- Support global conflicts initiatives, process improvements, and cross-regional projects
- Ensure seamless operational handovers and consistent service delivery across multiple regions
- Promote knowledge sharing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within the Conflicts team
- Build strong relationships with global stakeholders while maintaining high standards of compliance and client service
