Role Description
The Conference Producer plays a vital role in designing and delivering high-quality events by developing relevant topics, securing expert speakers, and overseeing end-to-end logistics. Success in this role is defined by delivering events that meet sponsor and delegate expectations, achieving attendance targets, and ensuring seamless execution within budget.
This role is integral to the organisation's event production, supporting business growth through strong content development and stakeholder engagement. By contributing to the profitability of the business and enhancing its reputation, the Conference Producer ensures that each event aligns with the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Design programme topics based on briefings from Sales, Research, or Training teams. Identify industry experts for presentations and develop product marketing plans and agendas.;
- Track attendance and collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to meet event goals.;
- Run the events onsite, and all the pre- and post-logistics arrangements and cost control;
- Oversee all aspects of project management, from strategy to execution, including speaker sourcing and content management for conferences, seminars, and trainings.;
- Provide guidance to new staff members when required.
Core Skills:
- Strong writing and editing skills for event marketing materials, including EDMs, brochures, and handbooks.;
- Ability to co-ordinate and assist telesales team in delegate marketing and invitations;
- Contribute to the profitability of conference, forums, webinars, and/or training business;
- Expertise in event production and management (research, copywriting, speaker acquisition, sales/marketing support, onsite management) to support overall business growth.
KPIs:
- Sponsors satisfaction in achieving their marketing ROI, clients satisfaction and valuable feedback
- Speakers/moderators delivered numbers;
- Delegates satisfaction in finding the briefings useful and beneficial, and achieve the target numbers;
- Well-planned logistics/administrative support/event profitability;
- General execution skills/customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-3 years of experience in content development for research or conference organisations.
- Journalism experience and knowledge of financial services are a plus (job is 80% research, 20% forums).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior executives.
- Strong research, analytical, and creative skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage the forums team.
- Support sales by building networks with speakers, media, partners, and potential clients.
