We are looking for a detail-oriented Concrete Quantity Takeoff Estimator to join our team. This role focuses strictly on technical measurement and administrative project supportno pricing, bidding, or client communication required.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Takeoffs: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial projects (footings, slabs, structural walls, rebar, and site concrete) using architectural and structural drawings.
- Documentation: Prepare organized Excel spreadsheets and marked-up drawings (Bluebeam/PlanSwift) for senior estimators.
- Administrative Support: Maintain project schedules (3-week look-aheads), update payroll/man-hour trackers, and manage product submittal documentation.
- Quality Control: Identify plan conflicts and update quantities based on revised addenda.
What This Role is NOT
- No cost estimating or bid strategy.
- No vendor negotiations or client outreach.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 1-2+ years of experience specifically in concrete quantity takeoffs.
- Tech Stack: Proficient in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff and Microsoft Excel.
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to interpret complex architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
- Detail-Oriented: A measure twice, cut once mindset with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working directly for a concrete subcontractor.
- Experience in high-volume bidding environments.
