The Concrete Engineer is responsible for supervising, inspecting and ensuring the quality of all concrete works on site. This includes monitoring concrete placement, curing, and testing activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications and concrete mix designs
- Supervise pouring, placement, finishing and curing works
- Conduct and monitor concrete testing (slump, compression, sampling)
- Inspect formworks, reinforcements and embedded items prior to pouring
- Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures and standards such as DPWH and NSCP
- Coordinate with site teams, QA/QC, and suppliers
- Identify defects and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare inspection reports and NCRs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Licensed CE preferred
- Experience in concrete works, QA/QC, or structural construction
- Knowledge of concrete technology, mix design, and testing standards
- Able to read and interpret structural drawings
