The role will support our concrete design / fabrication team from a remote location (Philippines), interfacing with the design, engineering & production teams in Australia (or other jurisdictions) as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D drawings (and possibly 3D, if required) of precast concrete tanks, chambers, diversion units and related components, according to design input and project specifications.
• Interpret engineering plans, sketches, structural details and site information to convert into fabrication/shop drawings ready for production and manufacture.
• Work from existing modules or standard units of Atlan's modular precast system and adapt for customised site/installation requirements. (Atlan Stormwater International)
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and production staff to ensure drawing accuracy, correct dimensions, reinforcement details, connections, openings, lifting hardware, access covers etc.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards (e.g., AS/NZS, local structural precast codes) and Atlan's internal drawing standards.
• Revise drawings based on feedback (design changes, client requests, site conditions) and maintain version control/documentation.
• Provide support for production/fabrication hand-off: generate drawings that are clear for manufacturing, shop assembly, mould construction.
• Coordinate with remote/onsite teams: attend design review meetings, capture design intents, maintain clear communication while working remotely.
• Maintain a library of drawings, templates, units, standard details; ensure that reuse of modules is efficient and consistent.
• Ensure remote works are carried out using the correct CAD software, file structure, layers, naming conventions as required by Atlan standard practice.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2-5 years experience as a CAD Draftsman/Drafter in a precast concrete or civil/structural environment
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of 3D modelling or Civil 3D/Revit is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Good understanding of precast concrete detail work: reinforcement layouts, openings, embed plates, connections, lifting points, formwork constraints.
• Comfortable reading civil/structural drawings, site layouts, plan/sections/elevations and converting into shop/fabrication drawings.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), reliable remote worker, good time-management and ability to work independently.
• Well-organised, with strong attention to detail, able to maintain drawing quality, document control, revision tracking.
• Based in the Philippines and able to work remotely, with strong internet connectivity and a suitable home-office setup.
• Ability to coordinate across time zones (Australia, Philippines) and adapt to project-driven deadlines.

Desirable / Additional Qualifications

• Prior experience in stormwater/storm-drain systems (detention/retention tanks, diversion chambers etc.).
• Familiarity with Australian/AS-standards (Atlan operates Australia/NZ region) or international precast concrete standards.
• Experience with fabrication/precast shop drawings (mould layouts, lattice reinforcement design, casting plans).
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (for schedules/BOQ) and other supporting software (e.g., MS Office, PDF mark-ups).
• Self-starter attitude with good work-ethic, remote-team ethic, and ability to ask clarifying questions when needed.

Work Setup & Conditions

• Fully remote working from home in the Philippines. Regular communication via email, telecon, video meetings.
• Standard working hours aligned with project team needs (may require overlap with Australian time zone depending on projects).
• Home office must have reliable internet connection, suitable desk/monitor setup.
• Occasional travel (if required) could be to Australia or another site for training/meetings (optional depending on role).
• Performance will be assessed based on quality of drawings, adherence to deadlines, communication, and cooperation with the remote team.

Reporting Line

• Reports to the Drafting Manager at Atlan Stormwater (or relevant remote supervisor).
• Works alongside structural engineers, design engineers, project managers, and production/fabrication teams.
