We are now seeking a CFD Engineer to be based in our Makati City office. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead CFD projects, establishing project requirements including setting up computational models based on design documentation and requirement.
  • Develop and run Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models, inclusive but not limited to data centre whitespace, external plant heat rejection, thermal comfort.
  • Undertake CFD R&D works and feasibility studies through gathering information and develop appropriate calculations to validate the result of the studies.
  • Compilation and issue of CFD reports and feasibility studies across all business sectors.
  • Understands how to optimise software settings to accurately capture flow behaviour and enhance simulation results.
  • Working closely with engineers and design teams to envision their needs and requirements and suggest potential improvements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to align project deliverables with client requirements, consistently achieving acceptable and high-quality outcomes.
  • Attending team-based training, resourcing, and internal allocation meetings.
  • Communicating with external software providers/developers on product improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or degree in appropriate engineering discipline with completion of modules in Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics or have sufficient equivalent experience.
  • Experience in steady-state and transient Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling (Cadence Reality DC Design (previously 6SigmaDCX), Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, etc.) is desired but not required.
  • Capable of analysing CFD results using fundamental physics principles and translating findings into clear, technical documentation to support design development. Proficient in interpreting complex data to provide actionable insights that drive effective design decisions.
  • Basic understanding of Building Regulations and BS/EN standards, and data hall standard ASHRAE TC9.9
  • Background in consulting or building services is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in CAD, Sketchup, Navis/Revit and understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office operations (MS excel, ppt, word, outlook, etc).
  • Possesses excellent written communication skills in English, with an aptitude for report writing.
  • Capable of effectively presenting work to diverse listeners, ensuring that complex technical concepts are clearly understood by non-technical clients.

  • Working effectively in a team environment.
  • Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group.

 

Interaction:

  • Collaborating globally with peers and counterparts. Reports to the central CFD team and work across UK, EMEA, APAC.
  • Developing long term-term business relationships with colleagues.
  • Working alongside design engineers, project managers, IT team, non-technical and administrative colleagues.
