Job Description

TITLE: Process Manager- Corporate Finance- Compliance

RANK: Manager Reporting to: SPM- Corporate Finance

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with PEZA, BIR, SEC, and local government requirements.
  • Prepare and submit PEZA reports and monitor compliance with ecozone regulations and incentives.
  • Handle business registrations, renewals, and permits with relevant government agencies.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary compliance actions.
  • Prepare and ensure timely filing of BIR tax returns (VAT, income tax, withholding taxes, etc.). Maintain accurate tax records and supporting schedules.
  • Validate tax computations and ensure alignment with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist in tax planning and compliance improvement initiatives.
  • Support and manage BIR audits, PEZA compliance audits, and external financial audits.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of Income and vat returns against GL and AFS
  • Subject matter expert in current tax laws and PEZA rules and be able to impart to Finance on new regulations as part of compliance strategy
  • Coordinate with finance, legal, and external consultants on tax and audit matters.
  • Serve as point of contact for BIR, PEZA, and external auditors during compliance activities.
  • Identify gaps in compliance processes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper documentation, controls, and audit trails are in place.
  • Support internal compliance reviews and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–8+ years of experience in BPO, shared services, or multinational companies. Extensive experience with:
  • PEZA compliance and reporting o BIR audits and tax handling
  • Philippine taxation and regulatory requirements
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software, Oracle
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
