About the Role
The Compliance Officer specifically for Retail ensures that all Spinneys PH stores and operations comply with company policies, Philippine laws and regulations, and industry standards. The role focuses on safeguarding the organization against regulatory risks, operational non-compliance, financial losses, and reputational damage through audits, inspections, training, and corrective action monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with company policies and legal regulations from DTI, FDA, DOH, DOLE, BIR, BOC and local government units
- Ensure compliance with product labeling, pricing, shelf-life, sanitation and occupational safety requirements
- Coordinate with store during government inspections and audits
- Conduct regular and surprise store compliance audits and provide training and support to staff on compliance matters.
- Check adherence to policies on pricing accuracy, promotions, stock handling, cash handling and loss prevention
- Investigate reported non-compliance, fraud or policy violations
- Prepare reports on compliance status and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Management, Risk Management or a relevant field.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of:
- Philippine retail and consumer protection laws
- Food safety, sanitation and occupational safety standards
- Audit methodologies and compliance monitoring
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail compliance or a related field.
- Knowledge of Philippine laws and regulations.
