Job Title: Compliance Officer
Location: Makati City
Work Set-up: Hybrid
Job Description
- Conducting compliance monitoring and testing activities across business units, products, processes, and internal controls
- Preparing compliance testing plans, checklists, workpapers, findings, and recommendations
- Testing implementation of regulatory requirements, internal policies, BSP/AMLC/NPC/SEC commitments, audit findings, and remediation action plans
- Reviewing company policies, procedures, product documents, workflows, and operational processes from a compliance perspective
- Identifying compliance gaps, control weaknesses, recurring issues, and areas requiring escalation or remediation
- Coordinating with Risk, AML, Legal, Operations, Product, Finance, IT, InfoSec, Merchant Onboarding, Customer Support, and other business units on compliance matters
- Tracking corrective actions and validating closure of compliance findings
- Preparing compliance memos, monitoring reports, testing reports, management updates, and regulatory compliance documentation
- Providing practical compliance advisory support to business units without taking over first-line operational ownership
Qualifications
- Background in compliance, internal audit, risk management, legal, regulatory, controls testing, fintech, banking, payments, EMI, OPS, or financial services
- Experience in compliance testing, internal controls review, audit, regulatory remediation, or monitoring activities is an advantage
- Familiarity with BSP, AMLC, SEC, NPC, or other regulatory requirements is an advantage
- Strong analytical, documentation, writing, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret policies and regulations and translate them into practical testing procedures
- High attention to detail and ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and control weaknesses
- Law, accounting, audit, risk, or compliance background is an advantage but not required
