Job Overview

We are looking for a highly driven Compliance Officer to join our manufacturing site in the Philippines and ensure full compliance with Philippine regulatory requirements and Hubbell corporate compliance standards. This role is critical in managing external statutory obligations while acting as the site champion for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable Philippine laws and regulations relevant to manufacturing operations (environmental regulations (DENR, EMB, LLDA), health & safety (DOLE, OSH Standards), data privacy (National Privacy Commission), Bureau of Customs, and local government requirements.
  • Monitor new and updated regulations, assess applicability, identify compliance gaps, and coordinate implementation across the organization.
  • Manage regulatory permits, licenses, renewals, filings, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain a compliance calendar and regulatory tracker (e.g., Benchmark Gensuite or equivalent).
  • Lead and support government and regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Act as site champion for Hubbell internal compliance programs, including site security, document retention, business continuity planning, EHS compliance tracking, ethics, and corporate policies.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Compliance, Legal, HR, Operations, and Audit teams to ensure alignment.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and support the establishment and improvement of internal controls, policies, and SOPs.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs.
  • Prepare compliance reports and maintain accurate documentation.

What will help you thrive in this role

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in regulatory compliance, corporate compliance, EHS, or internal audit within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Philippine regulatory requirements (DENR, EMB, LLDA, DOLE, NPC, LGUs, Bureau of Customs).
  • Experience in audits, risk assessments, regulatory reporting, and policy implementation.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and liaise with government agencies.
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and a proactive compliance mindset.
  • BOSH and Pollution Control Officer (PCO) certifications are highly preferred.
