At Dana Asia, we believe in creating real change by supporting social businesses that uplift communities. We are seeking a Manila-based professional to lead group-wide statutory and regulatory compliance.
The Compliance Manager will oversee governance, risk management, and DFAT accreditation, focusing on systems, policies, partner standards, and audit readiness in close collaboration with the Finance Manager.
- DFAT Accreditation & donor compliance: Lead and develop DFAT accreditation across Dana Asia entities and delivery partners.
- Governance, Statutory and Regulatory Adherence: Global Compliance Oversight: Ensure full adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements across all entities and partners.
- Compliance frameworks & systems: Ensure consistent compliance standards across all entities and partners.
- Policies, procedures & agreements: Review, update, and develop policies and procedures aligned to DFAT and donor requirements.
- Partner & entity compliance oversight: Monitor partner compliance for all Dana Asia entities against agreed standards.
- Training & capability building: Identify mandatory compliance training requirements by role (Board, staff, partners). Develop and coordinate compliance training plans and schedules. Maintain training completion records and evidence for audits.
- Audit & assurance: Coordinate external and internal compliance audits and readiness reviews and prepare compliance evidence packs for donors and DFAT.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Governance, Risk, Development Studies, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in compliance, governance, risk, or donor-funded environments, ideally within the NGO or multinational sector.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of international donor compliance frameworks (DFAT experience highly regarded) & experience developing and implementing policies and compliance systems.
- Attributes: Strong organisational, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. High integrity, discretion, and attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously across multiple entities and partners.
