The Compliance Coordinator provides operational, administrative, and analytical support to the Compliance, Privacy, and Research Administration teams. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance-related content, managing regulatory updates, supporting policy governance, and assisting with routine monitoring activities. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within fast-paced regulatory and healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Inquiries Develop SharePoint library of common compliance questions

  • Pull FAQ from existing PDF document and populate into SharePoint page
  • Review compliance inquiries on topic of Conflict of Interest to build out additional questions and answers
  • Categorize guidance information by keyword and topic
  • Cross reference with existing policies
  • Organize privacy folders and content and update SharePoint upon direction

Regulatory Updates (Requires additional software license and regulatory background) Receive information on CMS transmittals and populate into spreadsheet used by Rev Cycle and Compliance. Sends MH&A team anything pertaining to MH&A, others ad hoc. Internal

Administrative Tasks in Compliance and Privacy

  • Maintain list of current policies owned by Privacy, Compliance, and Research Admin

i. Document next review dates

ii. Reach out to policy owners and reviewers for anticipated policy changes in advance of review date

iii. Follow up on overdue policy reviews

  • Perform routine exclusion checks for Board members on a monthly basis

i. Ensure updated list of individuals

ii. Verify OIG exclusion status in database

iii. Escalate any exclusions iv. Spot check other categories (employees, physicians, vendors) as directed

  • Compile quarterly compliance dashboards and follow up on any outstanding items

i. Following close of quarter, reach out to list of stakeholders to gather metrics for compliance dashboards

ii. Populate Excel file with quarterly metrics updates to build on existing charts

iii. Ensure all compliance committees have reported a dashboard

  • NGS and CMS Education opportunities Receive updates on webinars provided by National Government Services for Medicare requirements. Populate dates/times and link in spreadsheet used by Rev Cycle and Compliance teams
  • Privacy - Review and categorize emails sent to the shared Fairview Privacy inbox (Daily). Support tracking of email volumes by category.
  • Store and categorize risk assessments in shared folder.
  • Conflicts of Interest pull data from submitted forms to populate spreadsheet

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • With at least 1 2 years of experience in the same role.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a SharePoint library for compliance inquiries.
  • No prior compliance or COI (Conflict of Interest) policy experience required; full guidance and training will be provided.
  • General familiarity with regulatory concepts is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Prior regulatory experience is beneficial but specific Medicare compliance experience is not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
