About the Role
As a Senior Compliance and IT Governance Specialist, you will ensure continuous audit readiness, strengthening internal controls, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting effective IT governance practices that protect organizational assets and support business operations.
What You'll Own
Regulatory Compliance & Certification Management
- Manage centralized compliance trackers for regulatory, contractual, and certification requirements
- Monitor compliance with ITGC, ITAC, CAC, ISO standards, ISMS requirements
- Coordinate certification renewals, surveillance audits, recertification activities, and regulatory reporting schedules
- Identify compliance documentation gaps and coordinate remediation activities with process and control owners
Audit Readiness & Compliance Documentation
- Coordinate preparation of documentation and supporting evidence for internal, external, customer, and certification audits
- Review the completeness, accuracy, and quality of audit evidence before submission
- Facilitate audit walkthroughs and coordinate responses to auditor inquiries and information requests
- Track audit findings, corrective action plans, and remediation activities to ensure timely closure
IT Governance & Internal Controls
- Collaborate with IT, Information Security, and business units to maintain documentation for ITGC, ITAC, and CAC controls
- Validate that control documentation aligns with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and organizational policies
- Monitor remediation activities related to user access management, change management, system operations, and monitoring controls
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen IT governance and internal control effectiveness
Risk Management & Compliance Monitoring
- Maintain compliance risk registers and monitor key governance and compliance risks
- Support periodic internal control assessments, compliance reviews, and risk evaluations
- Monitor compliance metrics and prepare governance reports for management
- Escalate significant compliance risks, control deficiencies, and regulatory issues to management when appropriate
Environmental & Sustainability Compliance
- Coordinate compliance activities related to environmental regulations and sustainability reporting requirements
- Monitor Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting obligations and other environmental compliance initiatives
- Coordinate data collection, validation, and documentation supporting sustainability disclosures
- Maintain records required for environmental compliance and audit purposes
What You'll Bring
- At least 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Privacy, Compliance, Risk, or Information Security roles
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems , Data Management, Computer Science, Law, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
