Technical Skills and Experience
- Responsible for Export Compliance, with primary ownership of Denied Parties Screening (DPS) processes.
- Conducts Denied Parties Screening of organizations, entities, individuals, addresses, and vessels against official watchlists, embargoes, and sanctioned-party lists to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensures due diligence and full compliance with EU, US, and UN sanctions and export control regulations through accurate and timely screening activities.
- Documents and maintains screening decisions (approved or rejected) in a clear and auditable manner to meet regulatory, stakeholder, and authority requirements.
- Performs manual validation and escalation of positive screening hits that automatically block shipment documentation (AWB/HAWB/BL) pending approval from the Legal and Compliance team.
- Manually approves or releases shipments through multiple Transport Management Systems (TMS) following completion of screening and required reviews.
- Demonstrates basic working knowledge of global import/export customs regulations and export control requirements.
Soft Skills and Additional Requirement:
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with strong communication, writing, and documentation skills required for sanctions screening decisions, audit records, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience or familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS) used in shipment processing, screening workflows, and manual approval or release of blocked shipments.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in trade compliance, export controls, logistics operations, denied parties screening, or a related regulatory or operational function.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple screening cases, reviews, and approvals concurrently while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment in screening validation, escalation, and documentation of decisions.
- Willingness to work on-site in a 24x5 operations and hybrid setup, as required to support operational coordination with Legal, Compliance, and logistics teams.
