About This Role

This role will be responsible for:

  • Executing the daily operation of Financial intelligence Unit (FIU), Compliance Department. FIUs receive reports of suspicious transactions from Stores, Agents, related RIA Compliance Unit and entities, analyze them, and disseminate the result / intelligence to Compliance Officer to facilitate the reporting of suspicious activities report to Regulator and local law-enforcement agencies to combat AML/CFT.
  • Conduct comprehensive Consumer, Agent and Corridor trend / pattern analysis to detect suspicious activities and Modus Operandi. The result of analysis conducted (pattern / modus operandi) are disseminate to relevant compliance unit to facilitate the risk assessment and investigation.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and conduct investigation to determine any point of for suspicious (AML / CFT & Fraud) and ensure the suspicious activities / transaction detected are escalated for further investigation within the standard turn - around time stipulated.
  • Review and conduct investigation to assess potential matches to name hits flagged out by the IME name screening systems, negative news / press / public domain, Regulatory and Local Enforcement Agencies (LEA) escalation by recommend the appropriate treatment of the hits which includes of filling of suspicious activities report, place into Internal Watchlist, exist customer etc.
  • Conduct On - Going Due Diligence and Enhanced Customer Due Diligence to facilitate the case investigation / resolution
  • Tasked to propose action plans for potential exit customer strategy / plan base on the result of investigation.
  • Tasked to conduct trend analysis / post transaction analysis (ad hoc, periodic) to detect potential suspicious and modus operandi and by disseminate the result of analysis to relevant Compliance Unit and Internal Audit Unit to facilitate the risk review, investigation and filling of suspicious activities report.
  • Tasked to undertake CDD referral escalation from Regional Compliance team.
  • Assisting the Line Manager to conduct gaps analysis to identify potential process deficiencies to improve business operations and service quality and unit costs through effective capacity planning, process re-engineering and automation. This includes regular engagement with internal and external stakeholder.
  • Participate in system enhancement for process improvement
  • Assisting Line Manager in conducting training to peer / new joiner so that they are aware of the internal process, due diligence requirement, rules and regulation and additional information and document require to facilitate the transaction processing which are in legal hold.
  • Involved advisory roles to Branches and Agents with matter pertaining to transaction that require due diligence, suspicious activities, name matching and others compliance related matters.
  • To ensure that the FIU database / trackers are updated on timely basis.
  • Produce daily, monthly, and ad - hoc statistical study to Line Manager / Compliance Officer Australia
  • Undertake any other task / responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager / Management from time to time.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors's degree in any course.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in similar capacity or related working experience.
  • Preferably with working knowledge or acquired brad-based AML/ CFT experience (i.e. transaction monitoring, investigation, AML Operation and Reporting, Screening & Sanctions, KYC).
  • Candidates with add on experiences on Fraud, Audit and Risk Management will be an added advantage
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Law or related field of study
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule M-F (8-5)
