We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Compensation and Payroll Specialist to join our People & Culture team and ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant administration of payroll and compensation processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Manage end-to-end bi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy of salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Validate payroll inputs and supporting documents in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Coordinate with People & Culture, Finance, and business units on employee movements and payroll-related changes.
- Address payroll concerns, discrepancies, and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
- Support payroll audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Timekeeping and Attendance Management
- Review and validate employee attendance records, including leaves, overtime, undertime, and holiday pay.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of attendance data before payroll cut-off.
- Resolve timekeeping discrepancies in coordination with employees and department managers.
- Monitor compliance with company attendance policies and labor standards.
- Maintain accurate attendance records for audit and reporting purposes.
Final Pay Processing
- Prepare and process final pay computations, including prorated salary, leave conversions, deductions, and tax adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with prescribed final pay release timelines and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to separation pay and exit payroll concerns.
Payroll Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure payroll processes comply with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Facilitate statutory remittances and benefits-related payments to government agencies and third-party providers.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate payroll-related account reconciliations with Finance and Accounting.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax requirements, including BIR Form 2316 and related submissions.
- Conduct monthly and year-end payroll reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in payroll, compensation, benefits administration, or shared services operations.
- Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws, payroll regulations, taxation, and government-mandated contributions.
- Experience handling payroll systems, HRIS, and timekeeping platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
