Role Description The Compensation and Benefits Jr Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati. This role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs that align with company policies and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in job evaluation, maintaining compensation structures, managing employee benefits enrollment and queries, and preparing reports and analyses to support HR decision-making. The Jr Manager collaborates with HR, Finance, and line managers to ensure accurate payroll inputs related to compensation and benefits and to address employee concerns in a timely, professional manner. The role also helps monitor market trends and participates in periodic reviews to keep compensation and benefits packages competitive.
Job SummaryThe Compensation and Benefits Jr. Manager will oversee the day-to-day administration of employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of HR services. The role will support the development and improvement of C&B programs while leading the team and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompensation & Benefits Administration
- Oversee the administration of compensation and employee benefits programs, including HMO, insurance, leave, allowances, incentives, and government-mandated benefits.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation and benefits transactions.
- Review and validate payroll-related and benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor changes in government regulations and ensure appropriate implementation of new requirements.
- Coordinate with HMO providers, insurance companies, government agencies, and other external partners.
- Prepare and analyze compensation and benefits reports, trends, and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve C&B processes, policies, and employee benefits programs.
People Management
- Lead, supervise, and coach the Compensation and Benefits team to achieve operational goals and service standards.
- Assign and monitor workloads, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Conduct performance monitoring, coaching, and feedback sessions.
- Address team concerns, performance issues, and conflicts appropriately.
- Develop team members through knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and high-quality service delivery.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a key contact for clients and stakeholders regarding Compensation and Benefits concerns and requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, employees, and internal departments.
- Understand client requirements and ensure that agreed deliverables and service expectations are met.
- Handle escalations and resolve C&B-related concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external providers to address client requirements and operational issues.
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients and management regarding C&B activities, issues, and resolutions.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 4–6 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, Benefits Administration, HR Operations, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine compensation and benefits practices and government-mandated benefits.
- Hands-on experience with HMO administration, insurance, payroll coordination, leave management, and employee benefits.
- Experience in handling clients, stakeholders, or external service providers is highly preferred.
- Strong people management, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee and compensation information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar reporting tools.
