Job Description

The right candidate will have great research skills to be able to evaluate jobs and propose appropriate pay grade per level. Providing clients with updates on salary and job description information, based on market and industry data.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts job analysis and job evaluation for proposed new positions and for identified current positions to determine appropriate pay grade.
  • Conducts market pricing analysis and salary surveys, as needed, to confirm pay grade slotting for identified job positions.
  • Assists with determining cost impacts related to changes in job assignments, promotions, demotions, salary schedule changes, etc.
  • Analyzes and modifies pay structures by recommending, planning, and implementation structural adjustments.
  • Prepares compensation reports and provides salary recommendations by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing compensation data and trend information.
  • Performs advanced financial and employee performance, analysis of slotting employees into their position grades, based on their education, experience, performance and certifications.
  • Conducts analysis and research into reclassification and classification of job positions. Provides clients with updates on salary and job description information, based on market and industry data.
  • May be asked to present training sessions related to areas of expertise (to include compensation software solutions); collaborates with internal team on process improvement and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; two years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in several technical areas (i.e., ACA, FLSA, FLMA, Total Rewards, incentive compensation, compensation analysis, organizational development, etc.)
  • Experience with compensation analysis and human resources in a US Company
  • Knowledge of an ability to use spreadsheet and compensation related software and to apply financial models and computer software, for assessment of compensation practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze and focus on large amounts of data for long periods of time.
