Job Summary
The OSH Physician is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of employees in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (RA 11058) and DOLE regulations. This role involves medical care, health surveillance, and implementation of workplace health programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical consultation and treatment for work-related and non-work-related illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct pre-employment, annual, and periodic health examinations to assess fitness for work.
- Develop and implement occupational health programs, including vaccination, wellness, and preventive care.
- Monitor and evaluate workplace health hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and health reports for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Safety Officers and HR to ensure adherence to OSH standards.
- Conduct health education and awareness sessions for employees.
- Respond to medical emergencies within the workplace.
Qualifications
- Licensed Medical Doctor (MD) in the Philippines.
- Preferably with training in Occupational Medicine or completion of PCOM courses.
- DOLE-accredited BOSH/COSH training (minimum 40 hours).
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in occupational health or industrial medicine.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine OSH laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR and Safety teams.
Preferred Certifications
- OSH Practitioner or Consultant accreditation from DOLE.
- Additional certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent are an advantage.
