Job Description
The Company Nurse is responsible for providing basic healthcare services to the company's team members. The Company Nurse is also in charge with the provision of general first aid when necessary, along with the evaluation of employee health risks and promotion of employee health. He/she is also engaged in ensuring that necessary safety/health clearance permits are in order.
Duties/Responsibilities
Provides initial dosage of medication needed by team members needing immediate relief from pain or sickness.
Verifies submitted medical certificate of team members when necessary.
Conducts weekly inventory of medicines.
Makes purchase orders of medicines for replenishment.
Administers first aid to team members and customers who encounter accidents during work hours.
Provides emergency care and assistance to team members needing hospitalization during work hours.
Maintains or helps in the maintenance of an efficient accident record system and coordinates actions taken by supervisors to eliminate accident causes.
Provides assistance to government agencies in the conduct of safety and health inspection, accident investigation, or any other related programs as well as reports required by the government or the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Identifies workplace hazards and recommends cost-effective corrective actions.
Develops, conducts, and promotes safety and health activities and awareness in the workplace.
Performs administrative tasks.
