Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Medical Care & Emergency Response

  • Provide immediate first aid, emergency care, and triage for workplace injuries or sudden illnesses.
  • Assess employee health concerns and determine whether medical referral, hospital transfer, or fit-to-work clearance is required.
  • Maintain and stock the company clinic, first aid kits, and emergency medical equipment.

2. Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Compliance

  • Collaborate with the Safety Officer / EHS team to monitor workplace hazards and prevent occupational health risks.
  • Assist in conducting incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and maintaining OSHA/local health authority compliance logs.
  • Coordinate annual physical examinations (APE) and required pre-employment health screenings.

3. Employee Wellness & Preventive Care

  • Design and implement wellness initiatives (e.g., vaccination drives, mental health awareness, ergonomics workshops, health seminars).
  • Monitor employee sick leave trends and medical absences to identify underlying health or ergonomic concerns.
  • Conduct routine health assessments, such as blood pressure screening and baseline health monitoring.

4. Clinic Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate, confidential medical records for all employees in compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA / Data Privacy Act).
  • Track and manage company health insurance (HMO) enrollments, claims, and inquiries where applicable.
  • Submit regular health and safety reports to management and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) and Occupational Health Nursing certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience (clinical, hospital, or occupational health setting).

  • Skills:
  • Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace health regulations and OSHA/labor health standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google Workspace for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • High level of empathy, discretion, and strict commitment to patient confidentiality.
