Job Summary
The Company Nurse is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees by providing medical care, promoting workplace health programs, and supporting the administration of employee benefits. This role combines medical expertise with HR support functions to help maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
A. Medical Services
- Provide first aid treatment, administer medications, and conduct health assessments for employees.
- Coordinate referrals and hospital transfers for cases beyond the clinic's capacity.
- Assist the company physician in consultations by recording vital signs and preparing medical records.
- Maintain and update confidential employee medical files and clinic inventory.
- Follow up on laboratory results, fit-to-work certificates, and medical clearances.
B. Occupational Safety and Health
- Promote preventive health and wellness programs through safety campaigns and seminars.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential health and safety risks.
- Monitor workplace sanitation, employee grooming, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with HR and the Safety Officer to implement occupational health and safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with DOLE and other occupational health and safety regulations.
C. Benefits Administration
- Assist employees in filing government-mandated benefits such as SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG loans or claims.
- Facilitate enrollment and updates in company health or HMO coverage.
- Prepare and release Certificates of Contribution (SSS, PhilHealth, HDMF).
